Static Vs Current Electricity

This week we have been learning about static and current electricity.

What I use that requires electricity

In the morning I turn on the light. Then I go to the bathroom and then i have a shower. I brush my teeth and wash my face in the sink. Then I go make me food. Then I put my food in the oven. I go on my brothers chromebook. When my brother needs his chrome book I go on my mums phone. Then sometimes I go to the toilet. At school I use my chromebook and my plug. Then I go outside and have a drink. Then after i make me a cup of tea after school. All of  these things uses electricity.

Energy

For inquiry this term, we are learning about energy. Here is a poster I created using google draw about the types of energy.

One day there was a girl who lived with her mum and little sister near Cape Town in 2017, her mum decided to go to New Zealand. She wanted her daughters to have a good university. She was excited to move but she didn’t  want to leave her family and friends. There is a lot of danger in South Africa, so that is why they moved to New Zealand and because her old country was tough. 

When came to New Zealand, she was scared because she thought her English was not going to be good. But the people she met helped her settle in.

Report about BEES

Bzzzzzzzzz what that sound? It a bee!



Bees make honey out of pollen. Bees protect the queen bee because if their queen bee dies, the bees don’t know what to do and then they
will die too!



Bees go to flowers to eat nectar. Bees are black and yellow and bees have 6 legs and 3 body parts.



Bees communicate by dancing the waggle dance. Bees live in the beehive because they protect the queen bee.



The pollen sticks to the bees hairy body and legs. Some of the other bees eat honey. Bees have wings and antennas that help them feel their way.



I hope you learnt something new about bees, I know I did!

Being safe on the internet

We have been learning about how to be safe online. Here are some things I have learnt.

Confident Me

Moon Demon

Once upon a time there was a little girl and her mum and dad got killed. 

Then the little girl turned evil. Her name is Moon Demon and she just recently turned 18 years old. She is evil with long black hair, black eyes, tall and wears a black cape and carries a gun. She has evil dark powers. 

She gets very angry and she is strong and brave. She is evil because she has dark power and carries a gun. She kills people. She fights people and she likes to hit people. She hates everything because of what happened to her family.

But one day she went to go to sleep. When she woke up, she was in a different place and sees her mum and dad. They were both angels and she was dreaming. 

They talked to her and made her realise being mean is not good.

Moon Demon turned good and she went back home because she realised that her parents would not want her to be evil and only wanted the best for her.
